Aeditive Concrete Aeditor 3d printer

Our 3D printer
Concrete Aeditor

Ready-to-use elements. Outputs elements up to 11x4x4 meters, incl. reinforcement and built-in parts.

Flexible deployment. Deployable in precast plants as well as onsite thanks to modular container concept.

Mouldless process. Revolutionary efficiency for families of formwork-heavy parts.

Proven technology. Our RSP process (Robotic Shotcrete Printing) is based on normed shotcrete.

Risk-free usage. Facility provided by Aeditive, volume-based billing.

Process
How to manufacture an element

Slightly simplified, the planning and production process can be summarized in three steps:

PLANNING

Our customers capture parameters such as dimensions or surface options for the respective element in Aeditive’s software. Our software determines roboter pathes and process parameters.

MANUFACTURING

A steel pallet is positioned in the Concrete Aeditor. One of the robots creates the element on the pallet based on RSP. The second robot supports this process by placing built-in elements such as reinforcements.

FINALIZATION

The element’s surfaces are robotically post-processed. The pallet including the finished element is removed from the manufacturing space.

Our motivation
We make concrete construction viable

Shortage of skilled labour

Challenge

We know of the meaning of buildings to humans. Yet, on construction sites and in precast plants there is a tremendous shortage of skilled labour. Demand in construction currently cannot be met.

Solution

We believe in the potential of automation. We passionately work on solutions to increase productivity in concrete construction as well as to make onsite and offsite workplaces safer and healthier.

Sustainability

Challenge

We love concrete. It provides many functional advantages such as longevity and is therefore difficult to replace as of today. Yet, it is based on cement causing 8% of global CO2 emissions.

Solution

We are on a quest for better concrete parts that consume less material during production. We want to entirely avoid waste from single-use moulds. Jointly with partners we research low-clinker cements.

FAQ
Got curious?

We use the RSP process (Robotic Shotcrete Printing). A process which our team has developed during four years of academic research. It has its roots in the classical shotcrete process.

Aeditive Roman Gerbers

Roman Gerbers

Automation Engineer & Co-Founder

The RSP process is based on the classical shotcrete process. Therefore we gear towards existing European regulations for shotcrete.

Absolutely! Our Concrete Aeditor can integrate reinforcement from steel or other materials. That's in fact one of the big advantages of the RSP process.

Hendrik Lindemann

Head of Solutions Engineering & Co-Founder

Indeed, the concrete we use in RSP is slightly more expensive than the one being used in traditional ways. That is due to, e.g., concrete additives. Nevertheless we compensate this additional cost by avoiding moulds and by achieving a high degree of automation.
